WHAT IS SWIM TEAM ALL ABOUT? The YMCA swim team offers youth the opportunity to learn about swimming as a sport while having fun and making friends! We encourage sportsmanship as well as competition. Coaching includes the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility while working on endurance training and stroke techniques.

ABOUT

  Swim team is available to Y members only.

  • Ages 6 -18 (Must be 6 years old or older by 12/1/24)
  • Recommended by be in Stage 5 (completed Stage 4) of the YMCA swim lessons or equivalent.
  • Ability to swim 25 yards, at least one length of the pool, freestyle (front crawl) and one length backstroke without stopping.

FEE: 

  • $315 First Child / $82.50 Per Month Payment Plan
  • $245 Additional Child / $61.25 Per Month Payment Plan
  • High School Swimmer $200
  • One time family fee $20

YMCA PAYMENT PLAN:

  • 5 Months – Payments made on the 15th of each month in Oct, Nov, Dec 2024 and Jan 2025
  • Families must fill out an Automatic Payment Plan in the Member Service Office at West End YMCA.
  • Swimmer Program fee divided by four months for scheduled monthly payment.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE

Monday through Friday are closed practices. Parents, please wait in the lobby, no watching from pool deck or ramp. Saturdays, upstairs bleachers will be open to watch practices.

    6:30 - 7:30pm Ages 11-12
    7:30 - 8:45pm 13 and up
  • TUESDAY
    6:30 - 7:15pm 8 and under in Rec Pool
    6:30 - 7:30pm Ages 9-10 in Comp Pool
    7:30 - 8:45pm Ages 11-12
  • WEDNESDAY
    6:30 - 7:30pm 10 and under
    7:30 - 8:45pm 13 and up
  • THURSDAY
    6:30 - 7:15pm 8 and under in Rec Pool
    6:30 - 7:30pm Ages 9-10 in Comp Pool
    7:30 - 8:45pm 11 and up
  • FRIDAY
    6:30 - 7:30pm 11 and up
    7:30 - 8:30pm 10 and under
  • SATURDAY
    11:00-12:00pm - all ages
    12:00 - 1:00pm all ages
