FREE to all Lake County YMCA members. We provide a safe, fun environment for your child/children for up to 2 hours per day, while you work out or participate in one of our classes.

IMPORTANT: To ensure the safety of the child(ren), members must present a YMCA membership card for themselves and the child(ren) to check in and out of the Child Watch program. At least one parent, custodian, or guardian of each child must remain on the premises and readily accessible at all times while the child(ren) is in Child Watch.

The Den at the Central YMCA

A Place for Kids to Relax, Connect & Just Be Kids

The Den at the Lake County Central YMCA is a welcoming space designed especially for kids ages 6 and up to relax, connect with friends and enjoy time at the Y.

Whether they want to play games, draw, get creative, spend time with friends or simply unwind, the Den gives kids a comfortable place to take a break and have fun during their time at the Central YMCA.

At the Y, we believe kids need more than activities, they need places where they feel like they belong. The Den provides another opportunity for young people to build friendships, explore their interests and enjoy positive social interaction within the YMCA community.

From an afternoon game with friends to a little quiet time with paper and pencils, the Den is their space to connect, create, play and recharge.

CHILD WATCH AT THE LAKE COUNTY YMCA

Your Time at the Y. Their Time to Play.

Finding time to focus on your own health and wellness can be challenging when you have children. That’s why the Lake County YMCA offers Child Watch, a convenient, welcoming space where kids can play, create and have fun while parents and guardians enjoy everything the Y has to offer.

While you work out, take a group exercise class, swim or participate in another YMCA activity, your child can enjoy supervised time in a safe and engaging environment. Child Watch gives kids opportunities to play games, create arts and crafts, explore age-appropriate activities and interact with other children—while giving parents time to focus on themselves.

Best of all, Child Watch is FREE for Lake County YMCA members for up to two hours per day. Parents and guardians simply remain on YMCA premises and readily accessible while their children are participating.

At the Y, we know that supporting healthy families means supporting every member of the family. Child Watch helps remove one of the biggest barriers parents face when trying to make time for their own health and wellness, while giving children another opportunity to feel connected to the YMCA community.

Child Watch at Your Local Lake County YMCA

Child Watch is available at our Central YMCA in Painesville, East End YMCA in Madison and West End YMCA in Willoughby, with ages and hours varying by location.
