Annual Campaign:

  1. Designs, leads, and manages day-to-day operations of the annual campaign program and fundraising events.
  2. Identifies and cultivates gifts from both existing and prospective supporters.
  3. Serves as a coach and sounding board for Branch Executive and volunteers who are less familiar with fundraising.
  4. Assists branches with recruiting and provides training for campaign volunteers.
  5. Oversees timely data and gift entry at the branch level.

Donor Relations/ Stewardship:

  1. Supports the Director of Development in the development and implementation of a strategic donor relations, moves management and stewardship program. The program will reach the YMCA's primary audiences, effectively building relationships, utilizing recognition/awards, written communications, personal visits, gifts, and small group activities. Provides oversight at the branch level.
  2. Assists in all donor recognition and stewardship activities.
  3. Works with the Director of Development to establish comprehensive donor portfolios at the branch level.
  4. Assists branches with the development and recruitment of their board.

Other Responsibilities:

  1. Will be an important contributor to the fundraising team during a board-approved capital development program and will assist in the preparation, identification of prospects, and stewardship of all donors.
  2. Supports branch community outreach events while working with the Director of Development to identify and seek out strategic partnerships.
  3. Assists in identifying prospects for the planned giving program and works with the Director of Development to plan annual Heritage Club event.


  1. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Three years previous experience in fundraising preferred.
  3. Proven experience in cultivating, soliciting and growing gifts to annual fund.
  4. Demonstrated commitment to the mission of the YMCA and an understanding of the fundraising process for non-profits.
  5. Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; ability to recruit top community leaders.
  6. Strong attention to detail, high level of personal and professional organization skill.
  7. Demonstrates talent as a strategic planner, analytical thinker, team leader and coach.
  8. Ability to work with a high degree of independence in a growing fundraising environment.
  9. YMCA Team Leader Certification preferred.


$38,000 - $41,000
