UPDATED MASK POLICY, EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 18, 2020

As we have communicated consistently from the beginning of this pandemic, the safety of our members and staff is our highest priority. With the rising number of Covid cases in Lake County, we are updating our face mask policy in order to continue to protect our community.

Effective Wednesday, November 18, 2020, all persons, kindergarten age or older, entering our YMCA must be wearing a face mask throughout the facility.  Masks/ facial coverings should be cloth/fabric and cover an individual’s nose, mouth, and chin. For our fitness facilities, this means that masks are now required at all times, even when actively exercising, in group exercise classes and in all workout areas.  This is even when 6 feet distancing can be maintained.  Members who are in the pool or in the shower may remove their mask, but will need to replace the mask when they are no longer in the pool or shower.

With the uptick in COVID-19 infections in Ohio and across the country, these measures are necessary to keep our facilities open while confirming our commitment to the health and safety of everyone who walks through our doors.
