Ron Fatica WINS the 2017 YMCA Dream House

Mark Dirosa Also Wins the 2017 Chevy Malibu

PAINESVILLE, OH (August 13, 2017) – Congratulations to Ron Fatica of Willoughby OH, the winner of the 24th Lake County YMCA Dream House located at 5295 S.O.M. Center Road in Willoughby Hills. Additionally, Mark Dirosa of Mentor, OH won the 2017 Chevy Malibu.

“This was incredibly exciting to win today. I have a lot to consider,” said Ron Fatica. It is not yet decided if Ron will take the 2017 Dream House and its furnishings or choose the $250,000 cash prize.

John McCurdy of Classic Chevrolet of Mentor, assisted participants in the drawing for the 2017 Chevy Malibu.

“On behalf of our owner, Jim Brown Jr, and CFO Larry Villines, we’re pleased to be involved with the YMCA Dream House for the fourth year with a car give-away. The 2017 Chevy Malibu won today is valued at nearly $24,000," said John McCurdy.

“With a record number of tickets sold for the Y Dream House, we are thankful for the community’s support this year. We especially want to thank our major sponsors for a successful 2017 Dream House, including Knez Homes, WKYC-TV3, The Chevy Network/Classic Chevrolet, and Guhde Flooring,” said Dick Fraser, Chair of the YMCA Dream House Steering Committee. “We also want to announce our plans for the 25th Dream House are in progress. The 2018 Dream House will be in Mentor, OH coordinated with developer Somerset Companies, LLC and builder Jemm Construction."

“The Y reinvests every dollar raised from the Dream House back into the community by enhancing our programs and facilities which allows us to accomplish our mission. It is not yet determined how proceeds from the 2017 Dream House will be used, but each of the Lake County Y branches are beginning to determine what renovations they would like to make and new equipment that would best meet the needs of their members,” added Scott Taylor, Lake County YMCA Chief Advancement Officer.

Since 1993, proceeds from the Dream House project have exceeded $4 million (approximately $200,000 per year) for program and facility enhancements that allow the Y to engage children, families and seniors in diverse programs at each Lake County YMCA branch (Central Y-Painesville, West End Y-Willoughby, East End Y-Madison, and the Outdoor Family Center).
