37 Northeast Ohio residents ready to Lighten Up in 2014

Thirty-seven area residents have signed up to take part in The News-Herald’s annual weight-loss contest.

Lighten Up in 2014 kicks off with a first weigh-in on Jan. 18. Among the contestants are 14 people who previously took part in Lighten Up competitions. Those participants will not be eligible for prizes in the contest.
The winner of Lighten Up is the person who loses the most weight, by percentage, after six months. First prize is a month of personal training sessions at LEAN Living, a personal training and health studio in Concord Township. Second prize is a six-month family membership to the Lake County YMCA.
