Volunteering

VOLUNTEER FOR A BETTER US!

WHY VOLUNTEER?

When you volunteer at the Y, you bring lasting personal and social change. By providing leadership, knowledge and talent, you give people, families, children and seniors, the resources and support they need to live healthy, confident, connected and secure lives.

The Lake County YMCA relies on the time and talents of many volunteers to fulfill its mission to strengthen communities through healthy living, youth development, and social responsibility.

For over 150 years, the Lake County YMCA has served every day, side-by-side with volunteers and neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.

REQUIREMENTS:

The Lake County YMCA maintains a zero tolerance for child abuse. Criminal background checks and/or other Federal or State screenings will be conducted.

Volunteers will also be required to complete an application and child abuse prevention training.
