Can I use YMCA equipment while I'm in the gym?
Yes, we have basketballs that may be checked out in the gymnasium with proof of membership.
What are the open gym times?
The YMCA offers a yearly schedule for general member use of the gymnasium. The times are listed in the back of our program guide.
Can I walk the track during programming?
The track is available for walking, jogging and running during all the hours we are open.
When can I use the racquetball court? Do you have equipment available for use?
The racquetball court can be booked for use twice a week. A sign up sheet is available at the front desk. The front desk also provides racquets and balls for your use at no charge.
Will someone assist me with my workout?
Yes. Our fitness staff and certified personal trainers are available by appointment to conduct fitness assessments, set up individualized routines, and establish ongoing personal training sessions. Ask your instructor about fees for ongoing training.
Are any of the fitness classes included in my membership?
Pricing for each class can be found in the program guide. SilverSneakers classes are available at no cost.
Do programs require advance registration?
Yes! Space is limited, so we encourage you to sign up early.
Are these programs open to non-members?
YES! Our programs are open to everyone. However there is a difference in pricing if you are not a member of the Y.
How many times a week can I use the workout facilities?
You may use the facilities as often as you’d like. We do recommend an orientation with fitness staff who are available to talk to you about the optimum number and types of workouts for you on an individual basis. Members between the ages of 12 and 15 MUST have an orientation before they may use equipment. An orientation is free and is for members only. We also have personal training available for a fee.
Do I have to sign up for aerobics classes?
Yes, registration is required for all programs. Registration can be done at the YMCA or
online.
