The YMCA of Lake County Minority Achievers Program...
Encourages all youth to pursue higher education and career goals. It unites teens with caring adult volunteers and generous corporate sponsors who are looking for ways to impact their future workforce. The program is for students in grades 9-12, and offers them a jump start on their future through the following:
  
• youth leadership meetings
• college tours/fairs
• college preparatory
• tutoring
• life skills seminars
• social Activities
• cultural events
• community service projects
• job shadowing

We need adult volunteers from local businesses to help.
Work day demonstrations, professional development and shadowing opportunities have a lasting impact on our youth.
 
Program Prerequisites: 9th grade.
Orientation/Kick-Off Date
September 16
Wed     6:30 - 7:30 pm
Meets two Saturday mornings each month plus additional activities to be announced.
FEE      FREE! Open to all.
